Requirements for Catechists
The Child Protection Services Law (CPSL) in the State of Pennsylvania requires all volunteers with “The care, supervision, guidance or control of children and (instead of “or”) routine interaction with children” to obtain clearances. In accordance with this law and the requirements of the Diocese of Greensburg, all volunteers in our Faith Formation programs must have the following clearances and training:

| PA Criminal History Check | Every Five Years |
| PA Child Abuse Clearance | Every Five Years |
| FBI Fingerprint Check | Every Five Years OR Affidavit – Every Five Years |
