Giving Made Easy!

• Do you dread the weekly "fill out the church envelope" routine?
• Do you find yourself walking through the front door of the church only to realize that your offering envelope is still sitting on the kitchen table?
• Would you like to pay attention during the homily and actually be enlightened by Father's words of wisdom rather than writing out a check?  (Just joking about the enlightened part!)
• Do you fear that the parish might experience financial collapse if you fail to make your weekly contribution?

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions do we have good news for you!  Saint John the Baptist Parish is privileged to be part of a new online giving pilot program in the Diocese of Greensburg.  This is a classic win-win situation:  you win and the parish wins!  You now have the convenience of not having to worry about filling out and remembering a weekly envelope.  Theparish saves the costs associated with the purchase and mailing of offering envelopes (we want to be the best stewards possible of your generous gifts!) and the burden on the money counters and the parish secretary are lessened.

Stewardship Committee

This committee is currently entrusted with the challenge of building a large group of people to make visits to every member of the parish.  The goal is to reawaken among the faithful our discipleship of the Lord Jesus.

Money Counters

Five teams of money counters take turn in counting the collection from Sundays, holy days, and the Diocesan collections.  It consists mainly of four or five members per team who count and make ready the collection for deposit in the bank.  This ministry requires confidentiality and trustworthiness.
