Altar Society
The Altar Society takes its name from the central focus of Church, the Altar of God. Ladies from the parish have been dedicated to promoting the more
devout life in service to our God and our church. Members have helped with the more menial tasks of washing and ironing altar cloths and linens and other
various linens used in the sanctuary. Often they are called upon to clean the church in preparation for the celebration of Christmas or Easter.
Altar Society members are in the forefront in ministries such as lectors or distributing the Holy Communion at Mass and taking the Holy Communion to the ill.
An organized group of ladies with officers, they meet on Thursday following the third Sunday of each month. They have various fundraisers throughout the year,
such as Friday Fish Fries to help support the works of the church. All ladies are welcome to become a member.
For more information, please contact the Parish Office.
Holy Name Society
The Holy Name takes its name in reference to the Holy Name of Jesus. Its pledge upholds the sacredness of God's name and proclaims loyalty to the Church and its teaching.
The Holy Name Society is composed of men in the parish who attend Mass in a body at 10:00 AM on the second Sunday of the month.
The men are involved in the devotional life of the Church. They help out when called upon for many menial tasks around the parish plant. They support special celebrations,
such as the Mother's Day Breakfast, Basketball Banquet, and Christmas treats for the children. The Society sponsors special fundraisers to help fund their activities and
to support the works of the Church. All men are encouraged to join.
